Dining

Söögisaal

The dining room is painted in warm colours. Here we offer hot lunches and dinners upon order. There is room for 22 people here, for up to 30 with extra tables. The dining room opens to a terrace with morning sun, in the summer it is possible to set a table there.

Söögisaal

Our large and contemporary kitchen is open to our guests: a smaller group of people (up to 10) can be seated at a round table here and watch our cook Ilona at work.

Köök

For a romantic dinner for two, we can set the table either in the suite or in a cozy corner by the fireplace.

In the summer, we can offer a different kind of romance: a sunset dinner in the clay house in the orchard, or a table on the terrace. Both options are available for couples or a small group of people.

Please choose from our romantic offerings.

Hikers will have the option of either a picnic basket or a packed lunch to take with them. It is also possible to order food to go from our menu.

As soon as the weather gets warm enough, we open our terrace café, where we offer appetizers, Mulgi porridge, house cake, pancakes with Altmõisa strawberry jam, our home-made Altmõisa icecream, the best Altmõisa meringue biscuits, coffee, refreshments and great wines.

More substantial meals should be pre-ordered from our menu.

From our plentyful buffet breakfast, you will certainly find your favourites to begin the day with. Our speciality is Altmõisa muesli, we must thank our first cook Tiina Sootalu for the recipe. We also mix our own yoghurt and often bake fresh bread, not to mention buns, cakes and biscuits.

Our cook is also very talented in using the nettles, goutweed, chives and other nice weeds growing nearby for wonderful pestos. In the summer, we try to use our own greenhouse produce as much as possible – we grow tomatos, cucumbers, paprika, herbs and many different green salads. In addition, we grow apples, pears and berries.

Throughout the whole winter, our guests can enjoy herbal tea made from our own cowslip, linden flowers, pot marigold, peppermint and apple peels.

Please ask for seasonal offerings!
